Liebe Gruße an die Runde.
Ich bin nach 3 Wochen Problemsuche mit meinem Latein am Ende. Vom o.g. Wacom-TablettPC funktioniert der Fingertouch zwar, aber der Stylusstift läßt sich nicht aktivieren. Und den brauche ich wegen meiner Behinderung um mit dem Tablett arbeiten zu können.
Zuletzt wollte ich die .rules-Dateien des wdaemon auf das MobileStudio aktualisieren (weil der wdaemon mit wdaemon -a das MobileStudio als zu neu - nicht erkennt ), aber die 61´er rules wird von der libwacom automatisch generiert, also auch keine Chance – um dann den wdaemon in die xorg.conf zu integrieren.
Mit xsetwacom --list devices, xsetwacom und xinput werden Stylus, Eraser, Pad und Cursor richtig angezeigt und stehen dementsprechend jeweils als Stylus1, Eraser1, Pad1 und Cursor1 in der xorg.conf.
Mögliches Problem könnte aber auch sein, weil das MobileStudio zwei IDs hat (Fingertouch 0x56a:0x34b und SubID für den Pen 0x56a:0x34e).
Allerdings geht bei unser Schwester-Distribution openmandriva (LX 3) beides, Stylus & Finger – wie übrigens auch bei unserer "Tante" fedora. Jedoch startet omv nach einem Update (irgend eine D-Bus Geschichte) nicht mehr und Fedora 26 stürzt nach circa 10 min immer ab (nehme an – das Paket für den Thermofühler oder was anderes funzt da nicht).
Ja wie gesagt – bin mit meinem Latein am Ende, weiß nicht mehr weiter.

Ich hab zur Probe versucht anstatt des wacom den Treiber libinput zu nutzen, aber auch der wird laut xorg.log wieder entladen:

Der Knackpunkt scheint also die Identifikation per ID (/dev/input/by-id) zu sein. Läßt sich da vielleicht ein anderes Verfahren einsetzen?

Bitte noch den Inhalt der /etc/X11/xorg.conf und evtl. vorhandener Dateien in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d posten.

Generell wirst du vermutlich einen aktuelleren Treiber brauchen von https://sourceforge.net/projects/linuxw ... put-wacom/
Ich bin nicht böse, sondern nur ehrlich. Und wer lesen kann, ist klar im Vorteil.

Hier fällt wegen den 2 IDs auf, daß das omv-Team doppelte Einträge von Stylus, Eraser & Co. anwendet. Hab ich in unser xorg.conf versucht, brachte als alleinige Maßnahme nichts. Für den omv-Weg müßt demnach für ein funktionierendes /dev/input/by-id, das diesen Output in ihrer xorg.conf erzielt – noch mehr geändert werden.

Also dir fehlt auf jeden Fall der aktuellere Kernel-Treiber, da sollte wohl eigentlich 2.00-version stehen, soweit ich das gelesen hab.

Woher stammen die Einträge in der xorg.conf ?
Ich bin nicht böse, sondern nur ehrlich. Und wer lesen kann, ist klar im Vorteil.

x11-driver-input-wacom-0.34.0-1.mga6 ist der aktuellste Treiber bei mageia.

Hier ist zu sehen, daß /dev/input alles richtig erkennt: event 9 & 10 aber unsere Xorg wird nicht per events sondern per ID generiert.

P.S. Oder hab ich was falsch verstanden, welcher Kernel-Treiber ist gemeint ?

Hab im cooker/cauldron das neuere (x11-driver-input-wacom) mageia7-Paket gesehen und auf dieses, einschließlich einigen neueren wacom-libs (lib64wacom2, lib64wacom-devel und libwacom) aktualisiert.

Ich würde vorschlagen erstmal die xorg.conf wegzusichern und alle wacom-Einträge zu entfernen und mit der automatischen Erkennung zu probieren.
Ich bin nicht böse, sondern nur ehrlich. Und wer lesen kann, ist klar im Vorteil.

Ja lieber doc5000, hab i gmacht.
Nach dem herauslöschen der wacom-Einträge aus der xorg.conf und anschließendem X-Neustart bzw. & dann noch einem kompletten Neustart, passierte nichts neues: Fingertouch ging, aber Stylus-/EraserPen sowie Curser- und PadTasten funktionieren weiterhin nicht. Und mit einem XFdrake sind die wacom-Einträge generiert in die xorg.conf (exakt gleich mit "Komma & Strich") wieder zurückgekeht.

Ich habe lange für die Fotonachbearbeitung überlegt ob ich ein Wacom oder XP-Pen kaufe. Wer nicht gerade einen tragbaren 2kg Klotz braucht sollte ruhig mal hier https://www.xp-pen.de/goods/show/id/400.html reinschauen. Für die $ 439 bin ich bisher mit dem Drawing Tablet Monitor sehr zufrieden.

könnte mal einen Vergleich zwischen XP-Pen Artist 15.6 Pro und Wacom MobileStudio Pro 16 anstellen. Klar, MobileStudio Pro 16 wird sicher in einigen Punkten etwas besser sein, für mich als nicht beruflichen Nutzer gewinnt aber klar Huion bei Preisleistung. MobileStudio Pro 16 ist einfach teuer ohne für mich erkennbaren Mehrwert.
