[Gelöst]Xserver stürzt immer wieder unerwartet ab

Hallo,
in meiner Mageia 9 Installation in einer VirtualBox stürzt der Xserver immer wieder unerwartet ab, d.h. ich lande plötzlich wieder auf dem Anmeldebildschirm.
Auch beim Hochfahren und der Desktop-Auswahl (Xfce oder KDE-Plasma) fällt das System evtl. sogar mehrfach auf den Anmeldebildschirm zurück.

Woran mag das liegen und wie behebt man das Problem?

Das liegt oft daran, wenn man das in einer VM betreibt. Wenn ich das im anderen Thread richtig verstanden habe lässt du das ja in Virtualbox laufen oder ?

Ansonsten wäre es halt gut, wenn du mal nach so einem Absturz hier entsprechende Logs als root via journalctl -ab hier anhängen würdest für die Zeit des Crashs.
Und ein paar mehr Details wie die VM-Konfiguration, was für eine Grafikkarte in der VM ausgewählt ist, wieviel Grafikspeicher etc.

Nachdem nach dem Anmelden die Oberfläche starten wollte (Xfce) und ich wieder auf dem Anmeldebildschirm gelandet bin, habe ich dort:
StrgRechts+F2 gemacht und mich mit Nutzername und Passwort angemeldet und dann:

Hauptspeicher. 2048 MB
Grafikspeicher: 128 MB
Grafikcontroller: VBoxVGA oder VMSVGA
Am besten klappt noch Grafikcontroller: VBoxSVGA, da mit diesem StrgRechts+BackSpace und erneutem Anmelden die Oberfläche dann meist stabil bleibt - doch wie lange?

Ich habe jetzt versuchsweise:

Und was willst du damit erreichen? setxkbmap ist nur dazu da um die Tastaturbelegung für den X-Server zu ändern ...

Also zum einen ist es seltsam dass du parallel net_applet und networkmanager laufen hast, das ist eigentlich keine gute Idee.
Zum anderen sieht es so aus dass beim Zugriff auf die Zwischenablage von Virtualbox der X-Server abschmiert.

Ich benutze die Mageia-eigenen "virtualbox-guest-additions".
Als Zwischenablage-Manager benutze ich "Clipit 1.4.5".
Gemeinsame Zwischenablage: bidirectional und Drag'n'Drop: bidirectional

geben die Ursache für den Absturz des Xservers nicht an.
Vielleicht mal einen anderen Kernel probieren?

Das ist auch nicht Ursache, nur die Auswirkungen danach, wenn der X-Server abgestürzt ist und nicht mehr reagiert.

Nachdem ich mit der Gemeinsamen Zwischenablage experimentiert habe bin ich nun so weit, daß es weder mit "deaktiviert" noch mit "bidirectional" funktioniert.
Ich habe "virtualbox-guest-additions" deinstalliert und versucht, die GuestAdditions von der Oracle-ISO zu installieren.
Diese Installation schlug aber fehl, weil "vboxsf" nicht aktiviert werden konnte. Die Gemeinsame Zwischenablage funktionierte aber.

Habe dann diese GuestAdditions wieder deinstalliert und

Jetz funktioniert Gemeinsame Zwischenablage und Shared Folder wieder, aber das Problem mit dem unverhofften Absturz des Xserver bleibt.

Das ist unter VirtualBox 7.0.8 und sogar unter 5.1.30 und 4.3.30 so.

Mit Mageia 8 gibt es hingegen keine Probleme.
D.h. das Problem liegt bei Mageia 9 und VirtualBox.

Oh Wunder! Nach der Installation des Meta-Pakets "xorg-x11" tritt dieser unerwartet Absturz des Xservers bisher nicht mehr auf.
Vielleicht haben einige Pakete einfach gefehlt?
Ich werde das weiter beobachten.
