[gelöst] WLAN Broadcom geht nicht - Firmware fehlt

Hallo,


Ich habe ein kleines Problem mit der Konfiguration von meinem Wlan.
Wenn ich versuche über das Kontrollcenter das Wlan einzurichten und dort den Broadcom Treiber auswähle sagt er mir folgendes:
"Es ist nicht möglich, eine Netzwerkschnitstelle für das ausgewählte Gerät zu finden (verwende Treiber brcm80211)"

Unter der Hardwareansicht vom Kontrollcenter ist die Wlankarte drin.





Hat irgendjemand ne Idee wie man das zum Laufen bekommt?

Ganz blöde Frage: Ist das WLAN per Schalter angeschaltet bevor du das versuchst?
Hatte so ein Betriebsblindheits-Problem nach der Installation von Mageia:

Händsich vom USB-Stick alle Firmware-Pakete für mein IWL5100 installiert,
dann Schnittstelle einrichten, Treiber auswählen aber dazu gab es kein Gerät zur Schnittstelle.
Bis ich nach dem Neustart auf die LED kuckte. Dann leuchtete sie so: :oops:
Ich bin nicht böse, sondern nur ehrlich. Und wer lesen kann, ist klar im Vorteil.

Das ist der Chip.
Der Treiber dafür ist der "brcm80211".
Als root findest du per
Code: Alles auswählen
lsmod|grep brcm
heraus, ob er schon geladen ist.
Wenn nicht, schadet ein Ladeversuch per
Code: Alles auswählen
modprobe brcm2011
nicht.
Intessant wären dann die Ausgaben in /var/log/mesages zu dem Zeitpunkt, z.B. (immer wieder beliebt) über eine vergebliche Suche nach einer Firmware.
(Du kannst einen geladenen Treiber auch zuerst über rmmod entfernen und anschließend per modprobe wider laden. Das vereinfacht die Suche in der Log-Datei.)

Hi,

Den Treiber ist bei mir drin, er scheint nur die wlanschnitstelle nicht zu finden.

Was ich gesehen habe ist dass die WLan LED aus ist. Hardwareschalter ist aber an mhhhh

wie man-draker bereits vermutete, fehlt hier die passende firmware, die im Paket kernel-firmware-extra enthalten ist.

list ist eine option zum rfkill Befehl.
Wenn du den Filter in der Softwareverwaltung von "Programme mit grafischer Oberfläche" auf "alle" stellst wirst du auch rfkill finden.

Dann stimmt bei deinen Paketquellen aber etwas nicht, und es sollte auch in einer Standardinstallation vorhanden sein:

Der Befehl heißt übrigens rfkill, und list ist das Argument bzw. die Aktion die rfkill ausführen soll;)

Ist aber auch nicht so wichtig für dein Problem, wie Alf schon geschrieben hat.
Ich bin nicht böse, sondern nur ehrlich. Und wer lesen kann, ist klar im Vorteil.

mmh die kernel-firmware-extras und rfkill find ich nicht als pakete -.-

wenn ich rpm -wa | grep kerlnel eingeb bekomm ich nur kernel-firmware, kernel-desktop und kernel-desktop latest

Du hast es ja auch nicht installiert. Mit (klassischerweise)

rpm -qa | grep PAKETNAME
suchst du nach einem installierten Paket mit dem Namen PAKETNAME. Suchst du in einem der aktivierten Repositories nach einem Paket (also über das Internet), hilft

urpmq -r -f PAKETNAME -a

Dort sollte auch dein kernel-firmware-extras auftauchen...

Dann stimmt aber wirklich irgendetwas mit deinen Paketquellen nicht, wie der dok schon andeutete. Geh mal ins MCC unter "Software verwalten" und wähle dort den Menüpunkt "Paketquellen für Installation und Aktualisierungen einrichten" --> "hinzufügen". Hier wählst du "Vollständigen Quellensatz" aus.

Hi,


Ich habe jetzt mal meine alten Paketquellen komplett rausgehauen. Dann neue Hinzugefügt und eihe da ich konnte das kernel-firmware-extras paket installieren ;)

Und Dank dem Paket geht jetzt auch das Wlan :)
